. SHELTER .
If you are in need for a place to stay for the night, come to the shelter. See the ‘Home’ page for the location.

. WHO …
The shelter welcomes all guests in need of a place to stay overnight. Unhoused guests include people who lost their residence (e.g. from natural causes), face economic hardship, are fleeing from domestic violence, or have some other misfortune. Shelter coordinators screen the guests for safety compliance.

The shelter rotates its location monthly between churches on the New Milford Green who allow us to use their facilities:

St. Francis Xavier School, 1 Elm Str., beige square building
Access: Drive to the rear of the building (preferably from the first driveway on the right when traveling North on Aspetuck Ave.). The entry is a full-glass door. Knock for the coordinator to open it.

Access: Use the driveway from Whittlesey Ave. and to the right of the building. There are a few parking spaces at the end of the driveway. Entrance is at the corner of the building.
Note: no parking on Monday nights. Instead, park behind the Congregational church.
Also, shelter opens no earlier than 8:30pm on Mondays due to AA meeting.
